PRESS STATEMENT.

The leadership of the people’s Democratic party (PDP) is shocked by news of the attack on kumbun community of Mwagavul Chiefdom of Mangu local government area of plateau state which led to the killing of 12 people by suspected herdsmen on Thursday morning the 9th day of January 2020.

This was indeed an intensely wicked act against humanity which can not be justify.

The leadership of our great party, critical stakeholders and members of our party across the state extends its heartfelt condolences to the Miskaham Mwagavul Da Nelson Bakfur the chairman of Mangu joint traditional council, the national president Mwagavul Development Association ,Sir Joseph Gwankat ksm and the entire loving people Mwagavul nation and indeed plateau state over this black January 2020.

We call on Governor Lalong to show more commitment in defending and protecting life’s and properties of all citizens inline with the provision of our constitution and to immediately initiate action against the killers: this should be the first priority of any serious government. We have had enough of this senseless killings.

We pray God will continue to guide and protect plateau and its people from all the evil machinations of those who do not want to see the state in peace.
