Plateau: Health Specialist Advocates Community Engagement in Governance

A public health specialist and Chief Executive Officer, Center for Human virology Abuja Professor Patrick Dakum has called for strategic measures towards building capacity of the Primary Health Care centres across the state.

This is to serve  as a major  priority in the next dispensation of the Rescue administration on the plateau. Professor Patrick Dakum disclosed this while addressing newsmen in his residence on expectations from the APC led government after emerging victorious at the 2019 general elections.

Abuja correspondent Rowland Longs also reports that, the public health expert calls for community engagement in the governance of the state. Professor Patrick Dakum said primary health remain key to attaining standard health care. He said Communities should also endeavor to ensure that they complement government efforts in other for it to succeed.

He stated  that development is all encompassing. The public health expert also observed that certain attributes can be deployed to sustain the current relative peace in the state in addition to  conventional security operations Professor Dakum  appreciated the peaceful conduct of plateau people prior, during and after the concluded elections.
