Nigeria @ 59: Dr. Ishaku Akyala Optimistic Nigeria Will be Great Again Despite Challenges

If Nigeria were a human personality, we would be demanding the very best of mentorship from her at 59, in the hope that years of experience will be a pot-pourri of knowledge unto us.

But as the giant of Africa (popularly so called) turns 59, there is this all too obvious conclusion that one can easily draw: Truly, plenty of age may not necessarily equate plenty of wisdom.

There is yet a great gap between the lofty vision cast by the founding fathers of the independent Nigeria, and the reality that plays out today.

Yet, there is hope as we strive to build a new crop of the young but immensely wise generation who, by their visionary lifestyle and earth shaking economic, social and political inventions, driven by a culture of spiritual verity backed up with sound intelligence, shall awe every one, causing the giant in Nigeria to truly arise, blaze the trail, thereby upturning the status quo, making others follow in her steps.

Long Live Nigeria🇳🇬🇳🇬
Happy independence day celebrations!
