Concerned with the deteriorating conditions of hospitals and health facilities across the country and inability to improve the standard of the health sector, the Senator representing Plateau North, Barr. I. D. Gyang has lamented the deteriorated Health Sector which has greatly affected the ordinary Nigerian from getting access to quality healthcare.

Sen. I. D. Gyang lamented that the ordinary Nigerian has for long been the victim of the systemic failure, inefficiency and endemic corruption bedeviling the Nation.

In his words “nowhere else has that found lamentable expression than in the inability of this ordinary Nigerian to access quality healthcare”

Sen. I. D. Gyang asked the Ministerial Nominee and immediate past Minister of State for Health, State for Health, Prof. Osagie Ehinare what he will do as someone who has practiced outside the shores of Nigeria and has seen what other nations do to cater for their citizens, particularly, the ordinary ones should he be reassigned to superintend the Ministry of Health by the President.

He went further to ask how the Nominee intend to remedy the lamentable position of the ordinary Nigerian and to rescue him from the collective “elite conspiracy” in the Country.
