In his deliberate and sustained commitment to human capacity development, Hon. Simon Mwadkon Ph.D, member representing Barki Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency has aided a multi talented constituent actualized her dream.

The beneficiary of the commendable empathic gesture was Miss Vou Dachomo, a practically dedicated and committed young lady who is a Photographer, Painter and an Artist.

Her dream came to reality last Saturday, 5/12/2020, when DV WORLD was commissioned and dedicated at Emmanuel Plaza, opposite Plateau Board of internal revenue office, Bukuru express, after TAEN filling station, from Jos.

DV WORLD was dedicated and commissioned to the glory of God by Rev James Danboyi after a brief exhortation from the Holy Bible. He admonished the people to always see whatever they have as a gift from God and always ascribe all the glory and praise to Him alone.

Following the dedication and commissioning, an exhibition of the beautiful painting and artistic works of Miss Vou was done. DV WOLD has a photography room, a painting room, an administrative office and an exhibition room for all the painting and art works.

Miss Vou praised and appreciated God for using Hon. Simon Mwadkwon in making her dream come true and a reality. Comr Simon Tibil Dung said the Federal Lawmaker paid the money to rent the place housing DV World. This was in addition to other assistance the Rep member rendered to miss Vou.

Father of Miss Vou, Da Evg Ezekiel Dachomo who was a one-time student of the Rep member, said he was still in shock and could not hide his joy over the empathic gesture of Hon. Simon Mwadkwon. He said God surprised his family by using Hon. Simon Mwadkwon to fulfill the dream of his beloved daughter. He said he has known hon. Mwadkwon for long and has been hearing and seeing his good works right from when he was LG Chairman till date.

Speaking through Comr. James Nyango, Hon. Simon Mwadkwon said he is committed to human capacity development and will continue to support persons who are genuinely committed and dedicated in putting their talents into effective use to becoming self reliant and employers of labour. He said Miss Vou has not just become self reliant but an employer of labour as well. He then encouraged youths to emulate Vou by genuinely putting their talents into effective use, instead of waiting for White collar jobs that are not forthcoming. He reiterated that long waiting for white collar jobs is not productive as there are many things we can use our brains to do to earn a living and become self reliant and possibly, employers of labour. He prayed that God should bless and enlarge the coast of DV WORLD.

He charged Ms Vou to continue to take her talents seriously to remain relevant and mentor others as well.

The Lawmaker described youths as persons with multidimensional talents, gifts and abilities that must be built and supported to attain their full potentials at appreciable levels. He admonished youths to discover their potentials and put same to effective use in order to be useful in life and discard all negative vices.

He reiterated his commitment to human capital development through strategic empowerment and providing exceptional people oriented representation.

Miss Vou Dachomo then appreciated Hon. Mwadkwon by presenting him with a gift of his beautiful portrait as part of her artistic work.

Other dignitaries who spoke at the occasion were Rev. Dr Sylvester Dachomo, other clergies and their wives, Hon. Pamson Dagyat, representative of Barr. Peter Nyam Gai who was represented by Mr. Sunny Gyang etc.
