Troops of OPSH Arrests Over 200 Criminal Elements, Recover Loots

Personnel of the Special Task Force codenamed Operation Safe Haven today swung into action to contain break down of law and order as well as stop the vandalization and looting of property of the Citizens.

Their swift action led to the arrest of over 200 criminal elements who defied the 24-hour Curfew and were vandalizing public establishments and individuals’ shops to loot.

Parading the criminal elements and the pillage, the security Outfit said it will continue to track down criminal elements and ensure they are prosecuted to serve as deterrent.

The Outfit said it will not tolerate criminality as it has zero tolerance for crime. They said they will continue to make arrest urging the citizens to remain law abiding, law abiding and resist criminal elements in the society.

The Outfit urged Nigerians not to allow criminal elements throw the Nation to a state of anarchy.

The outfit said government is fully in place and no force will be allowed to throw the Nation into a state of anarchy.

Those arrested were paraded at the Outfit Headquarters Jos.

The arrest were made across Jos South and Jos North LGAs, Plateau State.

Items recovered included Fertilizers, herbicides, generators, water pumping machines, food stuffs, cooking pot, intercom facilities, other farming inputs and others that were carted away by the criminal elements.

Similarly, 13 males and 17 females were arrested at the former Speaker House of Representative, Hon Yakuba Dogara’s house at Lamingo Jos today 25 October 2020.

Items recovered include 5 Grinding Machines, 3 Grinding Machine Heads, 2 Unassembled Keke NAPEP, 1 Keke NAPEP Engine, and 1 Bundle of Clothing Material.
