The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs of the federal republic of Nigeria Dame Pauline Tallen on behalf of the entire Nigerian women rejoices and congratulations the Plateau state government and people over the establishment of a federal polytechnic in Shendam.

Hon. Tallen in a press Statement signed and issued to Journalists said the feat is well deserved going by the number of candidates for tertiary institution churn out annually from secondary schools in Plateau state.

The Honourable Minister commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approving a take off grant of 2 billion naira for the new polytechnic from the funding resources of TETfund which according to her will speed up work on the institution and ensure smooth take off.

She called on Plateau people especially the immediate community to jealously guard the progress of development of this great learning environment and ensure they contribute their quota in ensuring this lofty vision is realized.

In line with the mandate of her ministry Dame Tallen prayed that sound morals and human rights values will be inculcated in students of this institution so as to produce citizens who will protect the rights of vulnerable in our society especially women and children as well as fight all forms of violence mated these categories in the society.

The Honourable Minister congratulate Governor Simon Bako Lalong for working tirelessly to ensure dividends of democracy reaches his people even at the grassroots for optimal development.
