Police rescued the kidnapped daughter of Unijos lecturer killed in Jos, arrested many in connection to the crime.

VPN news desk gathered that in the early hours of 11pm:12am of 16th/5/2020, a group of armed men invaded the University of Jos, Senior Staff Quarters Bauchi Road were they shot and killed Dr.Nandi Drenkat of the Faculty of Education. The killer men afterwards kidnapped a young daughter of the late University don demanding for a ransom of about Ten Million Naira.

The widow, Friends and family of the deceased while mourning continued to pray for the rescue of the little Joanna Drenkat a class 2 pupil, seven years old. The prayer of this mourning family was answered, as the area commander of Jos metro- ACP Husman Adamu alongside the DPO of Nasarawa division, Hassan Musa Representing the commisioner of police unites the little girl with her family amidst tears of joy and grieve this evening less than 24 hours of operation.

Narrating the story, the Area Commander explains that in the course of the rescue mission a member of the Hunters association who aided in the operation lost his life but the criminals have been arrested and detain waiting for justice to take its cost. VPN further gathered that not a single Kobo was paid for the rescue but purely the efforts of the Nigerian police force and its allies, the hunters and vigilante.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Barr. C. Drenkat appreciated the efforts of the gallant force led by ACP Husman Adamu however, he prays for the killed hunter and commits the solidarity of his family.

The widow could not say anything but on her knees, she appreciated God and the Nigerian police for rescuing her little daughter.

The success story of this operation builds confidence in the capacity of the Nigerian police force, for in less than twenty-four hours the Nigerian police force exhibited professionalism in apprehending the killer men and restoring hope to this mourning family.
