The National Secretariat has disown an article which says it reaffirmed embattled Hon. Damishi  Sango as the Plateau State Chairman of the Party.

The National Organizing Secretary of the Party, Col. Austin Akobundu (Rtr) said the letter didn’t emanate from the National Secretariat of the Party.

His text addressed to the Plateau State PDP Executive Committee & the PDP National Vice Chairman North Central and PDP Caretaker Chairman Plateau State reads:

The attention of the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party has been drawn to a news article titled *Plateau State: Hon. Damishi Sango position as PDP Chairman Reaffirmed by National Body*. The NWC wishes to state categorically that it has never issued such letter to ‘letter’ to anyone.

For the avoidance of doubt, the NWC is yet to make any pronouncement on the various petitions it received from the State. Once a decision is taken, it will be communicated through the appropriate and constitutional means.

We wish to urge all stakeholders to maintain status quo and allow the National Vice Chairman,  North Central Zone, Hon. Theophilus Daka Shan to continue to oversee the activities of the State Exco as earlier directed by the National Working Committee of our great party, the Statement by the National Organizing Secretary concluded.
