Plateau APC suspend Mega Rally for Senatorial bye election to Mourn Borno Farmers

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Plateau State has suspended its mega rally for the southern Senatorial Zone bye election earlier scheduled for Wednesday 2nd December, 2020 in Shendam to mourn the Borno farmers killed.

Chairman of the APC in the State Hon. Letep Dabang in a Press statement signed and issued on Tuesday to Journalists in Jos said the suspension of the rally became necessary as a result of the current mood of the nation following the recent massacre of innocent Nigerians on their rice farm in Maiduguri, Borno State by the Boko Haram Sect.

Dabang noted that as a responsible party rhey joins the nation in mourning the departed souls and others that have been killed as a result of senseless acts of a few who do not mean well for the country.

The Plateau APC sympathised with the Governor of Borno Professor Babagana Zullum and the entire people of Borno State and also condoles the Governor Of Plateau State and Chairman Northern Governors forum, Simon Lalong urging him to continue with his synergy with other Governors towards ensuring peace across the region.

Hon. Dabang said while it is only the mega rally that has been suspended, other activities such as door to door campaigns will continue with vigour in all the nooks and crannies of the Plateau South Senatorial Zone.

He enjoin members of the APC to continue to be law abiding and ensure they turn out en mass to ensure a resounding victory at the polls for the party.
