Hon. Beni Lar, the member representing Langtang North and Langtang South in the House of Representatives has kick started a 2 months skills acquisition training for women and youth.

The programme which is being undertaken in conjunction with the National Institute for Leather and Science Technology, will see 80 individuals from 5 local government councils that make up Southern senatorial zone (Langtang North, Langtang South, Mikang, Quanpan & Shendam) trained on key skills including shoe making, bags making, belt making etc.

At the end of the programme, successful trainees will be provided with basic machines and materials to enable them kick-start their business.
