News reaching ViewPointNigeria indicates that two persons were killed yesterday (Saturday – 11th June 2016) following a disagreement on a farm land around Wase-Tofa in Lamba district of Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Our correspondent who spoke to  residents of the community on Sunday confirmed that the dispute was between a Bogom man (Muhammad Babadina) and a Tarok farmer.

The dispute was said to have arisen due to the ownership of a land within the Wase community, where the Bogom man claimed to own, but was challenged by the Tarok farmer who equally claimed ownership of the land.

Disagreements on the land led to the killing of two people – leading to additional violence, where several people were killed and other injured.

Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Emmanuel Abu, yesterday said he could not reach the DPO in Wase, to confirm the report.
