Killings of Soldiers: political conspiracy or incompetence?…

Longgul’s  ink

The strength of every nation so much depends on its military. The Nigerian Army over the years , set records in battle.  Many successful  peace keeping operations outside the shores of the geography of Nigeria but unfortunately, this records of battle have been ridiculed in recent history, worthy of note, Monday 19,2018(6. Pm)  attacked on a military base in Maiduguri-metele village, Guzamala LGA.

It is widely reported that about 70 to 100 soldiers pay the supreme price for heeding to the “Arise o compatriot” call. The death of the soldiers did not call for any national mourning   or even the symbolic lowering of the flag. The National assembly in its normal posture of “holding talk” raised a bill of public importance   where they pontificate on the issues, but, none of the senators (sinators) would remember the fallen soldiers most importantly that they ( the death soldiers) are not card carrying members of any party and cannot contribute to a re-election in 2019.  Still on the killings; The honorable minister of information was eloquent in silence, again military authority still did not officially address the nation on the true state of the alleged killings, but we all know that some time ago , the military told Nigerians and the world that they have defeated the terrorist sect-Boko Haram because they attack with clear intelligence and through AIR and WATER  yet, at the time of the attack no Intelligence was gotten and the air surveillance becomes a figments of the imagination in one of those well directed American movies about Iraq and American victory.

So what happened to the military intelligence? What happen to the Air surveillance?   What happen to the command post scouts and lookouts?  Incompetence or negligence?

A reminder, shine your eyes! This is another political era let me refresh your thoughts of yesterday before former president Goodluck Ebele wrote the controversial “My Transition Hours” without rescuing the abducted girls of chibok ( Monday, April 15,2014 till date). Remember the Madala Bomb blast and the party celebration of the then president GEJ in kano, remember the criticism raised by the messengers and prophets of change? PMB made a solemn promise to the nation that  as a retired General  he shall lead in the front hand to hand with the troops to defeat the sect, the chief  of Army –Gen. Buratai,  remember by the  presidential order is meant to be domiciled in Borno  and the presidential ultimatum cannot be cash  however, by some omission the generals were mistakenly seen a political rally while troops are killed in Maiduguri, there is agony and pains  in the hearts of the loved once of the fallen soldiers – wives , children , relations, family friends , community all thrown to mourning. The wives and children are already forgotten and they all would have to take a business in ‘Mammi  market‘ or traveled back to their various villages for a new life … sad as it may be,  the political class has nothing to lose,  to the political class, it is about the next elections (2019) and nothing more, remember it’s about “The Next Level conspiracy ” or  “ Let’s get Nigeria walking again conspiracy”

To this end, remember the “Technical Maneuvering theory” (away, running from Boko Haram in 2014)  “Zaman lafiya” to” lafiya Dole” same time round  again, before the  February Elections 2015, a history repeated again, who is fooling who? Nothing is new because it’s about the conspiracy …  The coming months counting down to the 2019 general elections will reveal more resurgence of the terror for political reasons, for the families of the killed soldiers pain, agony and anguish will loom but for the political class it’s about  “the next level” or get “Articulated” and nothing  will change afterwards but hunger and pains.
