Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Bala Usman has reiterated his administration’s commitments to cooperate with the state government to maintain clean and healthy environment in the area.

The Chairman stated this while monitoring the monthly sanitation exercise in the area on Saturday September 26, 2020

The monitoring sanitation exercise took the chairman and his team to Bauchi ring road, Ahmadu Bello and Murtala Muhammed way, Bukuru park and West of Mine, as well as Gada Biyu.

It would be recalled that Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State had in August 2020 resuscitated the monthly sanitation exercise in the state.

Following the directive, Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Usman in company of his Management team said his administration will not tolerate any person or organisation who disregard the state government order on the monthly sanitation exercise.

The Chairman commended Governor Simon Bako Lalong for the step taken in resuscitating the monthly sanitation exercise as a measure to maintain clean and hygienic environment in Plateau State.

He called on all and sundry in the area to always comply with the Government directives by cleaning their environment and clear drainages, which said, is for the good of all citizens.

All the defaulters apprehended pleaded with the Chairman for clemency and assured him of their total commitments to observed every monthly sanitation exercise as reintroduced by the State Government.

The Chairman used the opportunity to appeal to the good people of the area to follow the safety protocols of COVID 19 pandemic ravaging globally
