The Member representing Riyom Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly & Chairman House Committee on Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Timothy Dantong today stormed his Constituency on appreciation tour.
The Legislator was well received by the people in all the areas visited where he appreciated them for the mandate freely given to him and the massive supports he is enjoying from the people.
He promised to give people-oriented legislation and said his door is wide opened to ideas from the people.
He said he will undertake projects that are priority to the people and said he will ensure the yearnings and aspirations of the people are well represented. He asked the people to present projects that are sensitive to his attention and for inclusion in subsequent annual budgets.
The Lawmaker also gave his vivid scorecard and said considering the importance of education towards human and societal transformation he decided to intervene in the education of the Constituents especially the less privileged.
He charged the people to be agents of national unity, peaceful and development.
He promised to provide credible representation and legislate on issues that will better the lives of the people. He also urged the beneficiaries of the scholarship to take their studies seriously and discard indolence to pass the exams and add value to themselves and the society.
Hon. Simon Mwadkwon, PhD who spoke through his Legislative Aide, Hon. Sati Suwa commended the State Legislator for what he is achieving and promised to synergize with him to better the lives of the people.
He described the lawmaker as a humble, easy going, calm and God fearing urging him to continue on the path he has started. He called on the people to rally round the Lawmaker so he can succeed.
In all the places visited, those who spoke appreciated Hon. Dantong and showered accolades for his giant strides within the short time he assumed office.
They thanked him for the scholarship disbursed to their children and prayed God to open more doors to him.
Wife to the Lawmaker, Mrs. Rahila Timothy Dantong, PhD appreciated the people for the overwhelming supports accorded her husband and said he will not disappoint them for the mandate bestowed on him.
She called on them to continue to offer him the much needed supports so he can provide his campaign promises.
Evidence of the WAEC payments were also issued to beneficiaries in the areas visited.
The Tour saw the delegation visiting Sharubutu, Rim, Jol, Rahoss, Tahoss and ended in Sopp Federal Constituency.
Elders, women, PDP Executives/Stakeholders, youths and children came out in their numbers to welcome the Lawmaker and his entourage.
The tour will continue tomorrow with Bum, Atakar, Danto and Riyom Federal Wards.
