FCE Pankshin Matriculates 4,828 NCE 1 Students, Sensitizes Students on COVID 19

Federal College of Education ( FCE) Pankshin in Plateau state on friday matriculated 4 ,828 NCE 1 students into various programmes of the college for 2019/2020 academic session .

Our correspondent report that the institution sensitized the newly matriculated students on measures taken to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 pandemic .

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony , the Provost of the college Dr Amos Cirfat, said the institution is known for its commitment to excellence in service and it has continued to pursued this objective over the years for the attainment of qualitative teachers education .

He said the students matriculating have been tested , screened and found qualified to be admitted to stand the challenges of learning to be quality teachers .

In his words ” The Journey through this rigorous , but rewarding training is for those who are determined and willing to forsake all negative vices , you must therefore shun acts of cultism exam malpractices ,hooliganism and disobedience for rules and regulations as laid down , you are encouraged to be upright ,focused and committed to your academic pursues to achieve your objectives of effective learning .

He further said the institution expects the matriculating students to be good ambassadors of the system at all times .

” You are to note that the teaching profession needs men and women of integrity , determined to excel and those who can stand tall in any community .

“This year’s matriculation is coming at a very critical moment of a significant breakthrough in his efforts of repositioning the college for academic excellence.”

He said Government is doing everything possible to ensure that they learn under a conducive atmosphere ,as it has continued to provide funds within limited resources for facilities and physical development in the college .

He also noted that all students must take advantage of the learning facilities the institution has made available to study and make their stay in the school worthy while.

Cirfat further said the institution would comply with the directive of the federal government to close down all federal institutions .

Our correspondent report that an award was presented to the Provost by the National Association of Nigerian students NANS .
