Eid-Al-Fitr: Jos North Council Boss, Hon. Usman Congratulate Muslims, Sues for Tolerance & Peaceful Coexistence

JOS NORTH LGC BOSS CONGRATULATES, MUSLIMS, SUES FOR TOLERANCE, PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE

The Chairman, Management Committee of Jos North Local Government Council Hon. Shehu Usman has felicitated with Muslims in Jos North and beyond on the successful completion of the month – long Ramadan fasting.

Hon. Usman expressed gratitude to Muslims and residents of the area for remaining steadfast despite the situation the state found itself following the outbreak COVID 19 and urged them to use the occasion of the Eid el-fitri celebration to make supplications for themselves, the Local Government, Plateau State and the Country at large.

The Chairman described as regrettable the situation where Muslims in Jos North and beyond cannot observe usual Eid el fitri prayer this year, occasioned by the pandemic, but on them to see the situation as part of the sacrifice all Muslims have to make at this time.

He stated, “it is gratifying to note that we are concluding this year’s Ramadan on a good note despite the current COVID 19 pandemic ravaging the whole world. I praise Almighty Allah for allowing Muslims in Jos North Local Government to join the Muslim Ummah in making supplications for forgiveness of our Sins’.

The Chairman sought the continued support and cooperation of the Muslim Ummah and residents of the area in adhering of face masks, observing social distancing, regular washing of hands and eating immune boosting foods, among others.

He promised to continue to make life more meaningful to all residents of the area through godly and humane policies, reiterating his administration’s commitment to the socio – economic transformation of the Local Government Area.

The Chairman used the occasion to identify and congratulate Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau state, Speaker and members of the Plateau State House of Assembly on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and assured them of the Local Government unflinching support to the rescue administration in the state.

In another development, Management Committee Chairman of North Local Government Shehu Usman has expressed his condolences to the good people of Jos North Local Government over the sad loss of Alhaji Shehu Mai Manja.

The Chairman in condolence message said Alhaji Shehu Mai Manja contributed immensely to the growth of the APC in Jos North Local Government during the 2019 General Elections and prayed God to give his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
