COVID-19: Protest in Jos Over Lack of Palliative

There is ongoing protest along Zaria Road Jos North LGA, Plateau State over non distribution of palliative intervention to the people.

Those who spoke to Viewpoint Nigeria said they were asked to assemble at Government Jos since Friday 24th April, 2020 for relief intervention only to be told to come back today and are yet to see any official of the COVID-19 State Palliative Committee.

The protest has led to the obstruction of vehicular movement in the mentioned area which has also affected adjoining roads thereby causing untold hardship to motorists.

The protest is also affecting business activities as other people are unable to go to the Farin Gada Market to make purchases as lockdown continue on Monday.

The protesters said they will not leave until the State Government provide them with palliatives.
