Covid-19: Coronation of Gwom Chugwi, HRH Da Atyos Mwankon Mandung Put on Hold in Compliance with Govt Directive

POSTPONEMENT OF THE CORONATION OF HRH GWOM CHUGWI

Sequel to the State Government’s directive on precautionary measures on coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world, the Chairman, Central Planning Committee (CPC) of Gwom Chugwi Coronation, Da. Davou Yakubu Pwol in collaboration with the Chugwi traditional council and its subjects, announce the postponement of the coronation of Gwom Chugwi, His Royal Highness, Da. Atyos Mwankon Mandung.

This decision was taken based on Government’s directive on the ban of Anniversaries, festivals and public gathering to halt the spread of the dreaded Coronavirus known also as COVID-19 in the country.

It is against this backdrop that all activities already lined up to the Coronation earlier scheduled to hold on Wednesday 8 April, 2020 have been suspended pending the review of government’s policy on the ban of Public gathering.

Consequently, all Sub-committees are expected to continue with consultation and preparations as a new date will be announced immediately Government reviews the ban.

We regret any inconveniences this postponement would have caused all our invited guests, friends and well wishers.

Signed
