COVID-19: 25 Lebanese Citizens on Flight from Kano State to Lebanon Test Positive for COVID-19

25 out of 125 passengers living Kano to Beirut, Lebanon, with Middle East Airline, test positive to coronavirus.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, on Wednesday, in Beirut.

According to the report, this was in line with the directives by the government of Lebanon, in April, to evacuate its citizens from foreign countries.

“The Ministry of Public Health announces that it has been confirmed that 25 positive cases with COVID-19 were recorded among the passengers on board the flight that arrived from Nigeria.”

“Accordingly, the affected cases will be transferred to the hospital with an emphasis on the application of strict domestic quarantine for negative cases, knowing that they will be followed up daily by the Ministry and whoever shows any symptoms will be referred to the hospital for re-examination.” the statement reads.

The affected passengers will be taken for treatment, while others that tested negative would be quarantined.

Lebanon has recorded 784 cases of COVID-19 with 25 associated deaths.
