National Commission for Persons with Disabilities: Congratulatory Message by Chief Ayuba Burki.

On behalf of the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Center, Jos, I write to felicitate with Hon James Lalu and other appointees by President Muhammadu Buhari into the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities.

I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to President Buhari for approving the composition of the Governing Council and appointment of Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities in line with the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2019.

The action of President Buhari is commendable and a milestone in the struggle for equal rights and better opportunities for People Living with Disability in Nigeria.

It is my prayer and the collective expectation of People Living with Disability that the appointees will bring to bear their wealth of experience in serving meritoriously and justify the confidence reposed on them by the President.

The Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Center, Jos looks forward to partnering with the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities in areas of mutual interest for the benefit of People Living with Disability.
