In his first executive orders, Biden reversed Trump’s policies on the coronavirus pandemic, immigration, and climate change.Biden canceled the ban which restricted travel to the U.S. from mostly Muslim nations. Severe thunderstorms in Uganda have left 10 children dead and 4 injured.The fatal accident took place near the city of Arua on Thursday, 27 August, when the children had been playing football. According to Lad Bible, even though the fourteen children had taken shelter in a nearby “grass-thatched structure” when the thunderstorm hit, nine of them were instantly killed after a bolt of lightning had struck the football field. At least 17 people died on Saturday when a restaurant in northern China collapsed, state media said, with rescuers pulling dozens of survivors from the rubble and searching for others believed to be trapped. A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by 30 men in the coastal resort of Eilat in Israel.  According to the Times of Israel, the girl went to Police last Friday, August 14, to report that she was repeatedly assaulted while she was drunk in a hotel room.  Police say they have arrested two men so far and one of the suspects told investigators that a large group of men had sex with the girl but claimed that it was consensual. At least six people, mostly children, died when an improvised explosive device went off in northern Burkina Faso, security sources and local officials said Sunday. The IED, which exploded as the group’s cart was passing late Saturday, also injured four others, they said.
