The Butura Development Association with the backing of the Butura Traditional Council Bokkos LGA has honored two of its illustrious Sons; Dr. Makut Simon Macham the Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPPA) to the Executive Governor of Plateau Stats, a renowned inventor Mr. Jerry Mallo and Daughter who emerged the best from the State in the 2020 WASSCE with nine A1s, Miss Sylvia Ulan Mathew with meritorious Awards at the 2021 Nahwai Cultural Festival which held physically and virtually.

The honour was on account of their immense contributions to the development and advancement of Butura Community, Bokkos LGA, Plateau State and Nigeria at large in their various fields of human endeavors.

The trio were described as worthy Ambassadors who are doing the Butura Community, State and Nation proud.

Saf Butura, HRH Engr. Gabriel Magit Makwal hosted dignitaries who cuts across traditional, political and the business community.

The Executive Governor of Plateau State was represented by the State Commissioner of Budget and Planning, Hon. Sylvester Wallangko who commended the Butural Community for the event and awards to illustrious persons from the Community.

Hon. Dan Manjang the Plateau State Commissioner of Information and Communications also graced the event in solidarity with Dr. Simon Macham.

Dr. Makut Simon Macham appreciated his people for the award and said the awards will spur them to do more in terms of their contributions to the Community, State and Nation.

The 2021 Nahwai Cultural Festival was adjudged one of the best in recent times and the First Cultural Festival in the State to be held physically and virtually.
