2020 Budget: Plateau State earmarked 100 Million Naira for Amper-Dengi-Bashar Road

The Plateau State 2020 appropriation bill has captured N100 million for the construction of Amper-Dengi-Bashar road phase 2 which extend to Gajin Bashar.

At the budget breakdown on Monday, N100 million was captured for the project under the Ministry of works for the 811 million naira contract awarded in September,2017 to H&M Engineering Company

The multi-million Naira project is the first of its kind along the axis of Jarmai- Bashar since the construction of the road in the second republic, and the incumbent Governor is the first to commence the process of reconstructing that axis of the road.

In a chat with our correspondent, some of the residents of the area names withheld, said they are appreciative of the efforts of the Governor for considering them for the project but are calling on him to redouble his efforts in seeing that the road is completed within the life span of his administration considering the enormous competing demands on his table.

They are equally praying for the success of the Governor and other political office holders from the Local Government, especially the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives,RT Hon. Ahmed Idris Maje for his untiring efforts in bringing development to the grassroot

Meanwhile, in a related development the sums of 200 and 220 million Naira have been earmarked for the construction of Wase-Mavo-Gimbi-Dem Shanya and Wase-Kadarko-Dadin Kowa roads respectively in the same budget of 2020
