Mupun Youth Connects 2019 :  Appreciation

Mun vul a long beshik  amut  ( forthe two are wealth and loneliness is disease)  is a strong epistle in the philosophy of the Mupun people, internalized in the sociology and psychology of the people.The Kenyan writer Wa Thiongo  says” Language/culture is the carrier of memory”.

We decided to start from our point of memory, the place of our humanization. Ours wasn’t negative ethnicity, we must emphasize because we know that people are people, Joy is Joy and pain is pain all over the world.

On behalf of the National executive and the branches of Mupun youth movement.,we extend our profound gratitude to the central organizing committee (Manji Daleng, Muplang Zumtu, Dashilip Kopji Satdom (zion), Ankat Tohomdet, Vilret Enoch and Patrick Dawap) Mc Danat, Tongriang Barkle, Dj Gadafi.  and the host of Mupun youths, who against all odds contributed towards the tremendous success of the Mupun Youths Connect 2019 in various ways.

We also wish to extend our sincere appreciation to the leadership of Mupun Cultural and Development Association (MUCDA), especially the President, Comr. Nanle Gujor and the Mupun elders, who supported and guided us during the pre-event planning and post event activities. Our struggle is intimately connected and in line with the vision of our forefathers.

We wish to specially recognize the efforts and support of the following the following individual:

1. Professor Dakas C.J  Dakas who graciously accepted to sponsor a team in our forth coming  “Mupun United Football competition” and toward the establishment of an “entrepreneurial Hub” with the sum of #500,000.00 that was transferred instantly to MYM account during the event.
2. Dr. Chinnan .M. Dikwal who supported us from the pre to post  event. And  he graciously agreed to sponsor a team.
3. Chief Latep Dabang, represented by Kenzy Ngupar who also agreed to sponsor a team.
4. Prof. Patrick Dakum who because of his tight schedule couldn’t make it and also on representation pledged to support the program with #200.000.00 .
5. The Honorable members elect Barr. Henry Longs represented by Pham. Mizim Dagung who also pledged to sponsor a team.
6. And finally our big brothers/sisters, senior comrades and mentors, Like Mr. Zendi Mikuk, Dr. Yilji Kumtap, Parm Mizim, Dr. Bakzak , Mr Longji Coleman, Moris Ngupar, Justice Christopher, Pharm Manji Danat, Barr.Mweldi, Barr. Manshak, Hon. Victor Mpyet, Chikas Kumle and a host of other’s that space could not permit me mention. For supporting and gracing the occasion. The Mupun youths are saying PLANGDES !

To all Mupun youths at home and in the diaspora, we admonish you all to imbibe humility in all that you do and the humility to learn. Just inline with the words of Kendrick Lamar says, “Sit down and be Humble”.

The struggle and strive to build our communities is real and the struggle has just began and you can be a part of it.  Thank you and let’s do it again…
